Certain applications might not run correctly because some of your drivers are out of date. Video or sound drivers are easy to find, but it is a whole different matter when it comes to other components, such as universal serial bus controllers or other system devices. Using DriverFinder, you will not have to search for drivers of any type. Its main purpose is to scan your hardware and list your drivers. It will notify you if they are out of date and you can download and install new ones, using the options from its interface.

The software's setup file is very small, so you will be able to download it fast even with a weak Internet connection. There are no advanced settings to make while installing. You just have to provide a destination path or use the default one and click an Install button.

The number of outdated drivers and other related statistics are displayed in the interface's Overview section. You can also access a complete list of your devices and general information about your computer, under separate tabs, in the same section. When you launch the software, it will start scanning your hardware automatically. You can perform a new scan at any time by clicking the Start Scan option, in the upper right corner of the interface.

You can access the scan results, general options, a backup and a restore feature with the navigation buttons on the left side of the interface. In the Scan Results section, you will find different lists, with outdated, ignored and up to date drivers. A Download option can be found next to each entry, in the out of date list and you only need to click it to start updating the driver. The same action can be performed for all drivers with the Download All option, in the window's lower right corner.

Additional lists of drivers can be found in the Backup and the Restore Drivers sections. You can back up individual drivers or all of them. The backups can be found in a separate list, in the Restore Drivers section, where you may delete or restore them. Downloads and backups are placed in separate folders on your hard drive and you can select different ones in the software's settings screen.

Pros

The software displays clear information about the status of your drivers. It lets you download new versions, back them up and restore them with options that are very easy to handle.

Cons

You can not download new drivers with the trial version. Being able to update, back up or restore drivers, by clicking a few buttons, can be very useful in certain situations, like reinstalling your operating system. This is exactly what DriverFinder will help you with.
